Community Guidelines

Effective Date: February 23, 2026  |  Last Updated: February 23, 2026

Gavbook is a village empowerment platform built for communities across India. These Community Guidelines define the standards of behavior and content quality we expect from every user. They exist to ensure the Platform remains a safe, respectful, and productive space for all members — from villagers and farmers to panchayat leaders and local business owners.

These guidelines apply to all content and interactions on the Platform, including posts, comments, marketplace listings, directory entries, panchayat announcements, events, yojna information, and private messages. By using Gavbook, you agree to follow these guidelines alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Respect

Treat every community member with dignity, regardless of background.

Trust

Share truthful information and engage honestly with others.

Inclusion

Welcome and support all voices in the community.

1. Our Core Values

Gavbook is built on principles that reflect the spirit of Indian village communities. Every feature and policy is guided by these values:

Community First

Every decision centers on the well-being and empowerment of village communities across India.

Transparency

We maintain open, honest communication about our policies, content moderation, and platform changes.

Diversity & Inclusion

We celebrate India’s rich cultural, linguistic, and regional diversity. All castes, religions, genders, and backgrounds are welcome.

Safety & Privacy

We prioritize the physical and digital safety of our users, especially women, children, and vulnerable groups.

Local Empowerment

We support local businesses, panchayat governance, agricultural initiatives, and grassroots development.

Digital Literacy

We help rural communities navigate the digital world with education, accessibility, and easy-to-use tools.

2. Expected Behavior

We encourage all community members to actively contribute to a positive, constructive environment. Here is what good participation looks like:

Be Respectful

Address others with courtesy. Disagree politely and avoid personal attacks. Remember there is a real person behind every profile.

Be Honest

Share accurate, truthful information. Do not spread rumors, unverified claims, or misleading content about people, events, or government schemes.

Be Constructive

Provide helpful feedback, share knowledge, and offer solutions rather than just criticism. Help fellow villagers navigate issues.

Be Inclusive

Respect cultural, religious, linguistic, and regional differences. Use language that welcomes people of all backgrounds.

Be Responsible

Think before you post. Consider how your content affects others and the community. Own your words and actions.

Support Local

Promote local businesses, artisans, farmers, and community initiatives. Uplift your village through positive engagement.

Protect Privacy

Do not share others’ personal information, photos, or location without their explicit consent.

Report, Don’t Retaliate

If you see something harmful, use the report button. Do not engage in arguments or retaliation — let the moderation team handle it.

Meet Safely

If meeting someone from the marketplace, choose a public place and inform someone you trust.
