Gavbook ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Gavbook website (gavbook.com), the Gavbook mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information of our users ("you" or "User") and applies to all interactions with the Platform, including user-generated content.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

- User-Generated Content (UGC): Posts, comments, photos, videos, marketplace listings, directory entries, panchayat announcements, event details, yojna (scheme) submissions, and any other content you create, upload, or share on the Platform.
- Communications: Messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us.
- Payment Information: If applicable, transaction details processed through third-party payment providers (we do not store full payment card details).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers (IDFA, GAID), browser type, screen resolution, and language settings.
- Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, search queries, time spent on the Platform, crash reports, and interaction patterns.
- Location Information: With your explicit consent, we may collect precise or approximate location data via GPS, Wi-Fi, or IP-based geolocation to provide location-relevant services.
- Cookies & Tracking Technologies: Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and analyze usage. See Section 9 for details.

- Social Login Providers: If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile identifier as permitted by the provider.
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated analytics data from services such as Vercel Analytics.

3. User-Generated Content
The Platform enables you to create and share content including text posts, images, videos, comments, marketplace listings, directory entries, event details, and panchayat announcements.
Public Visibility
Content you post may be visible to other users and the general public. Exercise caution when sharing personal information.
Ownership & License
You retain ownership. By posting, you grant Gavbook a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for operating and improving the Platform.
Content Moderation
We may review, moderate, remove, or disable access to content that violates our Terms of Service, community guidelines, or applicable laws — without prior notice.
Reporting & Blocking
Users may report objectionable content or block other users. Reports are reviewed and actioned per our content policies.
Retention After Deletion
Deleted content is removed from public visibility promptly. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period as required for legal or operational purposes.
No Endorsement
User-generated content reflects the views of its author, not those of Gavbook.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing (e.g., sharing a listing publicly).
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors (hosting, email delivery, analytics, cloud storage), subject to contractual data protection obligations.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- Safety & Protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Gavbook, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will notify you of any such change.
- Aggregated / De-identified Data: We may share data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. 9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Authentication, session management, and security. Cannot be disabled.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings.
10. Mobile Application Disclosures
When using the Gavbook mobile application, the following additional terms apply:
10.1 Permissions
Camera & Photo Library
To upload profile photos, marketplace images, and post media. Requested only when you initiate an upload.
Location Services
Nearby marketplace listings and local panchayat info. Always optional and controllable via device settings.
Push Notifications
Announcements, event reminders, and messages. Enable or disable via device settings.
Internet Access
Required for all Platform features.
10.2 Apple App Store (iOS)
- Comply with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and Developer Program License Agreement.
- Adhere to App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — we do not track across third-party apps.
- Privacy nutrition label accurately reflects data collection and usage.
- Support "Sign in with Apple" with email-hide option.
- Account deletion available directly within the app.
10.3 Google Play Store (Android)
- Comply with Google Play Developer Program Policies and Data Safety requirements.
- Adhere to Google's User Data Policy including prominent disclosure and consent.
- Data Safety section accurately discloses collection, sharing, and security practices.
- Comply with Google's Families Policy where applicable.
- Account deletion available directly within the app.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in countries that may have different data protection laws. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, including the use of encryption, contractual data protection clauses, and compliance with applicable cross-border data transfer frameworks.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content (e.g., market yard external links, government scheme portals). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification or email.
